Eligible Purchases

"JAL COUPON" awards can be used to make full or partial payment for the following purchases. For details, please refer to the "JAL COUPON GUIDE" is sent along with the JAL COUPONs.
JAL Coupons cannot be used at travel agencies.
JAL Coupons cannot be used for the payment of hotel stays and/or meals, which have been reserved through travel agencies
(including online reservation and online travel agency).
No change will be returned if the amount of JAL COUPONs exceeds the purchase price.

  • Any items purchased at the following JAL Group companies: JALCARD, JAL Plaza, Blue Sky, JAL/DFS Duty Free Shoppers, PLAZA WIEN JALUX/Vienna etc.
  • Tickets purchased only through JAL website.
  • Tour products that make use of flights other those of the JAL Group Airlines.
  • Tour products planned and operated by JAL Sales.
  • JAL Group Airlines' tickets and JALPAK package tours purchased outside Japan.
    (except for JAL Ticket Service in the U.S and Canada.)
  • Japan domestic tickets which do not specify passengers' names, such as Business Coupons etc.
  • Tour products planned and operated by JAL Sales.
  • Selected items and services for which JAL COUPONs cannot be used as designated by participating shops.

Required Mileage
JAL COUPONs valued at ¥30,000 may be redeemed with 20,000 miles. Requests for more than 20,000 miles may be made at increments of 10,000 miles for JAL COUPONs valued at ¥15,000.
  • * A maximum of 100,000 miles may be redeemed for JAL COUPONs at one time.

JAL COUPONs are valid for 13 full months starting from the month after the awards are issued.

Conditions for Using Awards
No change in either cash or mileage will be given if the amount of JAL COUPON exceeds the purchase price. There are some restrictions applied to persons who can use JAL COUPONs, locations where they can be used and how it will be handled when you wish to return purchased items, etc. For full details, please refer to the "JAL COUPON GUIDE" that is sent along with your JAL COUPONs.

  • No refunds in either cash or mileage will be given if the amount of JAL COUPON exceeds the purchase price.
  • JAL COUPON can be used to make full or partial payment for the designated purchases at the designated locations only .
  • The selling, bartering, or exchanging of JAL COUPON is not permitted, and attempt of such action will render JAL COUPON void and no mileage will be returned to the member with respect to such cancellation.
  • Any monetary refunds of airline tickets and other purchases will be eligible only on that portion of the purchased amount, if any, that was not made by using JAL COUPONs.
  • Validity: JAL COUPON will be valid through the last day of the 13th month following the month in which the mileage was exchanged into the JAL COUPON. Please take note of the actual validity that is printed on the front of each JAL COUPON. Please be aware that once the JAL COUPON has expired, it cannot be used under any circumstances.
  • Eligible persons who can use JAL COUPONs : Only Member, Spouse of the member, relative of the member within the second degree may make purchases and use any airline ticket or tour packages purchased with JAL COUPONs. In case an individual other than the member will use the award, the user may be asked to show proof of relationship to the member.
  • JAL is not responsible for lost or stolen JAL COUPON.
  • Once mileage has been deducted, it cannot be returned to your JMB account, nor can you exchange JAL COUPONs into other awards. This is regardless if your awards have not been sent or if you have not used them yet.
  • JAL COUPON can be used for purchasing International & Japan Domestic Package Tours, only if the member has contact and delivery address in Japan.
  • JAL reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at anytime without notice in its discretion.

How to Request and Receive JAL COUPON Awards
JAL COUPON may be requested from the JAL website or by calling the JAL Group office of your membership registration.

Enter your JMB membership number and PIN, and click "Login"		 Please call the JAL Group office of your membership registration.
Mileage Balance
From the menu, select
"Mileage Balance"		 Please inquire your mileage balance.
Request
From the menu, select
"Redeem JAL Coupon Awards"
(1) Request for JAL COUPON Award.
(2) When you receive the mileage deduction form, please complete and return it.
Award Pick-up
JMB will mail JAL COUPON to your registered address. In some of the areas, you must pick up your coupon at the JAL Group office of your membership registration. Awards should be requested at least 2 weeks before the date you wish to receive the awards. ALL deliveries will required a signature.
