How to Request Award

Awards can be requested and received only in Asia/Oceania region.

The member himself/herself must request the Awards regardless of who uses those Awards.
However, members who wish to entrust another person to do so should complete an official proxy registration form and submit it to the JAL Group office of your membership registration. You can register your official proxy through JAL's website after logging in or by submitting your completed official proxy registration form PDF(436KB) to the JAL Group office of your membership registration.

【Requesting Awards】
  • You can request your awards only at JAL Group office of your membership registration. Please note that the airport office will not handle the case.
    The following awards can be requested through JAL's web site (www.aor.jal.com):
    • * JAL Group Airlines International / Domestic Award Tickets
    • * JAL Group Airlines International Upgrade Awards
    • * JAL COUPON Awards
  • Taxes, charges and various handling fees such as fuel surcharges and airport taxes applicable for international award tickets or upgrade awards will be collected from the applicable JMB member or the user of awards.
    Please click here for further details of JAL Group international flight “Fuel surcharge” and “Security Surcharge”.
  • Once you have decided the dates of award use, please request your award as early as possible.
  • Accumulated mileage should be exchanged for awards within the validity period, and the requests to exchange mileage for awards can be received up to the final business day of the month of mileage expiration. Requests for awards will not be accepted after the date of expiry.

【Deadline for Award Requests】
You have to complete the award reservations by the following deadlines.

Hotel Awards Up to 14days prior to the date of check-in
JAL COUPON Awards / Other Awards 2 weeks are required to deliver the award from the request date*5
  • *1 The day when all reservations have been confirmed and mileage has been redeemed will be referred to as the "Deadlines for processing JMB awards"
  • *2 Deadlines will differ if a Saturday, Sunday or holiday of the JAL Group offices of your membership registration falls within the 4 days prior to departure.Please apply for your awards through the JAL Group offices of your membership registration well in advance.
  • *3 If a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday of the JAL Group offices of your membership registration falls within the 4 days prior to departure, the deadline will be the previous weekday.
  • *4 If the day prior to departure is a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday of the JAL Group offices of your membership registration, the deadline will be the previous weekday.
  • *5 Depending on the region you reside it may take more than 2 weeks to deliver the award.
  • *6 Special deadlines will apply on award tickets by using China Eastern Airlines (MU).

How to Receive Awards

The way of receiving awards depends on the award request.

【Notice】
Receiving awards by e-mail, mail or FAX.
Awards can only be sent to your registered address. Please verify your address before making your request.
Receiving awards at the JAL Group office.
When picking up your award in person, you will need to present your JMB membership card or other proof of identification at the counter.
When a person other than the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is to pick up an award, proof of identification must be shown along with a letter of proxy signed by the JMB member specifying the name of the person who is to pick up the award and the name of the person who will use the award.


【JAL Group Airlines International Awards and JMB Partner Airlines Awards】
e-tickets
"e-tickets receipt" will be sent to your registered e-mail address, home or company address or FAX.
You can print out "e-ticket reciept" through JAL's website.(Some restrictions may apply).
Paper tickets(ATB tickets)
Tickets can be sent to your registered address or picked up at the JAL Group office of your membership registration.
*Due to some mailing difficulties, awards for members in Indonesia, Phillippines and Vietnam can only be sent by e-mail or Fax. Or they can be picked up at the JAL Group office of your membership registration.

【JAL Group International Upgrade Awards】
Upgrade awards will be processed at airport check-in. Please mention that you have already requested for an upgrade award and present your purchased ticket to the check-in counter.

【JAL Group Airlines Domestic Awards】

Please pick up your Award Tickets at the airport on the day of departure.

Receiving Award Tickets using the Ticketing and Check-in Machine (where available)
 
When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is traveling Press the "Award" button and insert the JMB membership card into the Ticketing and Check-in Machine on the day of departure.
When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is not traveling
*Effective for flights on/after August 19, 2008
Press the "Award" button and enter the "Recipient number" into the Ticketing and Check-in Machine on the day of departure. (*)
When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is not traveling
*Effective for flights on/before August 18, 2008
Press the "Award" button and enter the flight number, Reservation Confirmation number, and birthday(month and day only) of the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted into the Ticketing and Check-in Machine on the day of departure.
Receiving Award Tickets at the Airport Ticketing Counter in Japan
 
When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is traveling On the day of departure, present the JMB membership card to the Ticketing Counter staff and mention that you will travel on Award Tickets.
When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is not traveling
*Effective for flights on/after August 19, 2008
On the day of departure, mention that he/she will travel on Award Tickets. Also inform the Ticketing Counter staff the "Recipient number" given at the time of Award reservation.(*)
When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is not traveling
*Effective for flights on/before August 18, 2008
On the day of departure, mention that he/she will travel on Award Tickets, and inform the Ticketing Counter staff the Reservation Confirmation number along with presenting proof of identification (passport, drivers' license or health insurance certificate) of the traveler.
  • ※When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is traveling, and forgets to bring his/her JMB membership card, the award ticket will become void and unusable.
  • ※When the JMB member whose mileage has been deducted is not traveling, he/she must advise the passenger the "Reservation Confirmation number" or "Recipient number"(for flights on/after Aug 19, 2008) in advance. If the passenger does not have the "Reservation Confirmation number"or "Recipient number" on the day of departure, he/she will not be able to receive the Award Tickets.
  • ※Receiving Award Tickets using the Ticketing and Check-in Machine is limited to JAL/JTA/JEX/JAC/HAC flights. For RAC flights, you must receive the Award Tickets at the airport ticketing counter.
  • *For reservation made through the JMB Center/ JMB Award Ticket Reservation Desk of your region, or if you have forgotten the "Recipient number"on the day of departure, please advise the "Reservation Confirmation number" along with presenting proof of identification (passport, drivers' license or health insurance certificate) of the traveler at the airport ticketing counter.

【Hotel Awards】
Your awards may be picked up at the JAL Group office of your membership registration. In some countries and areas, they may be sent by mail to your JMB registered address.

【JAL Coupon Awards】
The award will be delivered to your JMB registered address. 2weeks* are required to deliver the award from the date of request.
*All deliveries will require a signature.
*Depending on the region you reside, it may take more than 2weeks to deliver the award.

【JMB Travel Coupon Asia Awards】
The award coupons will be delivered to your JMB registered address. 2weeks* are required to deliver the award from the date of request.
*Depending on the region you reside, it may take more than 2weeks to deliver the award.
